Since 2021 I’ve been teaming up with purpose-driven Dutch chocolate-makers, Tony’s Chocolonely, a certified B Corp. You’ve probably tasted their infamous Milk Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt flavour (the orange wrapper with the outrageously good salt:chocolate ratio). And while their cocoa confections are objectively some of the best on offer, their bars (albeit delicious) are a means to an end. Lifted straight from the Tony’s playbook: “We exist to end all forms of exploitation in the cocoa industry”. An impact company, who just happen to make chocolate. They’re big words, but the team at Tony’s don’t mince them, which makes them all the more satisfying to work with. My favourite project to-date? Writing the script for Ikenna Azuke, host of Tony’s FAIR 2023 — the 10th edition of their annual stakeholder event held at Amsterdam’s iconic Gashouder Westergasfabriek.
